Luxottica Holographic Showroom
A 3D holographic system where Luxottica eyewear models take shape in space, explored through natural gestures from a tablet.
The challenge
The context and the need
Luxottica had two distinct needs: a tool for presenting collections to buyers in showrooms beyond traditional catalogs, and a system for the headquarters prototyping department to evaluate models before physical production.
The solution
What we built
We designed two 3D holographic systems with custom tablet-controlled software. In the showroom, buyers explore the full collection with natural gestures. In the prototyping department, the design team evaluates shapes, proportions and finishes in 3D holography before producing physical prototypes, accelerating the product development cycle.
The impact
What this project changes
Interactive showroom
Buyers explore the full collection in 3D holography, comparing variants, materials and finishes without physical samples.
Visual prototyping
The design team evaluates shapes and proportions of new models in 3D before producing physical prototypes.
Tablet control
Custom software to navigate models, rotate, zoom and change colors with natural gestures in real time.
